To do this, click the "Titanic" app, and choose "Make Alias" from the File menu. Once you've done that, open up MacOS9 / Applications / INSTALL_MAC, and you'll see the Titanic app.įor convenience's sake, it may be helpful to put a shortcut on the desktop. Open Titanic1, find the INSTALL_MAC folder, and copy that to MacOS9's "Applications" folder. You should see the hard disk (MacOS9) on the desktop, along with the Titanic disks: Titanic1 and Titanic2. Start the app again, this time without the option key, and you'll see Mac OS 9 start up. Then the app will prompt you to restart, to pick up the settings. I chose to mount both of those as CD-ROMs. My distribution of Titanic has two disk images (ISOs): Titanic1.iso and Titanic2.iso. Choose to "Mount one or more CD-ROM disk images", and choose the disk images for Titanic. When you first launch the app, hold down the option key, and you'll get a list of configuration options for the app. I found a website ( ) that offers a preconfigured "Mac OS 9" app that you can download, which wraps SheepShaver and the Mac OS image and ROM into one convenient app that you can just use without having to get into much technical configuration.ĭownload the Mac OS 9.zip file from that website, and then place the unzipped "Mac OS 9" application in your Applications folder. ![]()
